Top 5 Wednesday #2

Hosted by the Top 5 Wednesday group on Goodreads

This week’s topic is Characters You Wish You Could Drown.

5. Lottie AND Fliss in Wedding Night by Sophie Kinsella

I’m going to cheat a little and put two characters for this one because they both equally annoyed me. I usually LOVE Sophie Kinsella books, but the two main characters in this one kind of ruined it for me since they were just so irritating. One was way too controlling and the other was just constantly making dumb decisions.

4. Curtis in Don’t Mention the Rock Star by Bree Darcy

Curtis is the husband in this love triangle. Oh, he made me so mad. I wanted to punch him on a few occasions while reading this book. When I read what the topic was for this week, drowning sounded like the perfect thing to do to him 🙂

3. Jaden in Unspeakable by Michelle K. Pickett

First of all, this is an amazing book, and you should check it out if you haven’t already. And when you do, you will understand my hatred for Jaden. I won’t give too much away, but let’s just say he’s a pathetic and horrible boyfriend.

2. Sinjin Sinclair in The Witch is Back by H.P. Mallory

This is book #4 in the Jolie Wilkins series, which is AWESOME by the way. I know a lot of fans of these books love Sinjin, but I CANNOT STAND HIM, especially in this book. It’s a long story. Read it, and you’ll get what I mean. Team Rand!

And the character I would most like to drown is…

1. Jacob Black in New Moon by Stephanie Meyer

Am I the only one who hated Jacob?? It has been such a long time since I have read the Twilight books, but my hatred for Jacob is still very much alive, especially when I think about this book. Yes, I was Team Edward, and I wanted to strangle Jacob for trying to take Bella away from him, but that wasn’t the only reason I didn’t like Jacob. I can’t even explain it. I just despised him. End of story.

What do you think of my list? Who would be on your list? Feel free to comment or share a link to your top 5 so I can check yours out 🙂

Top 5 Wednesday #1

Since I’m very new to this blogging thing, I was very excited to discover the Top 5 Wednesday group on Goodreads. I have to give a special shout-out to Aimal over at Bookshelves & Paperbacks for posting her own Top 5 and getting me super excited about one more thing I can add to my very new blog.

So, here are my Top 5 Books That I Read in One Sitting (or close to it).

5. Fire Burn and Cauldron Bubble by H.P. Mallory

This is the first book in the Jolie Wilkins series. I was pretty obsessed with it for awhile. My husband felt like he was competing with Rand for about a year. One of my favorite book boyfriends.

Find it here on Goodreads!

4. Dare to Kiss by S.B. Alexander

This is the first book in the Maxwell series. It had two things I love in a good romance story: super sexy protective guy and tough, independent girl. The writing and plot were awesome. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.

Find it here on Goodreads!

3. Don’t Mention The Rock Star by Bree Darcy

I’m a sucker for stories where the characters go back to their first loves to see if maybe the timing is right this time. And this book was just perfect. I loved everything about it.

2. August Fog by A.L. Goulden

This is the first in the series. Yes, it was hot and steamy, and yes, I absolutely loved it. I had to reread this one a couple times. The rest of the series is equally amazing.

1. The Fault in Our Stars by John Green

Of course, this is #1. I locked myself in my bedroom to read this. I was pretty much dead to the world. Absolutely amazing book. I don’t care what haters say about it. I love it.

These were all SO hard to put down. Definitely check these out if you haven’t already.
